Can you receive faxes in Microsoft Teams?
Yes. With a GoFax fax number, your faxes can arrive in a Microsoft Teams channel. You add the channel's email address to your fax number in GoFax. Each new fax is then posted in that channel as a PDF, so your team can open it, download it and act on it without leaving Teams.
How to send faxes to Microsoft Teams
Setup takes a few minutes. You need a GoFax account with a fax number, and a Teams channel you can manage.
2. Copy its email address
Open the channel's menu and choose "Get email address". Copy the address Teams gives you.
3. Add it in GoFax
Log in to GoFax and go to Receive Fax Service, then Manage Fax Numbers. Choose your fax number and paste the address under "Add a new address".

Microsoft Teams fax questions
Teams fax means your incoming faxes arrive in a Microsoft Teams channel instead of on a fax machine or only in an email inbox. GoFax receives the fax on your fax number, turns it into a PDF and sends it to your channel's email address. It then shows in the channel for your team.

No. There is no extra charge to receive faxes in Teams. You pay for your fax number as normal.
Yes. Repeat the setup for each fax number and give each one its own channel.
Yes. You can add your Teams channel as well as one or more email addresses, so each fax goes to all of them.
No. GoFax sends your incoming faxes to Teams, but you cannot send a fax from Teams. To send, use email, the GoFax web app or the GoFax desktop app.
Check three things. First, that the address in GoFax matches the channel's email address. Second, that your Microsoft 365 admin allows email to channels. Third, if the channel only accepts email from certain domains, that it allows gofax.com.au. Still stuck? Our team can help.

GoFax was easy to set-up and use. I needed to fax tax documents to the US from NZ. GoFax did the trick. It took me less than 40 minutes from researching online fax software to getting my fax sent confirmations. 100 pages for A$15, highly recommended and great value, only problem now is what to do with remaining 96 pages!

Administation is easy - was able to create an email group, populate it, and then advertise that as the desitination for incoming faxes. The sender didn't know the difference! Furthermore, I was able to integrate into the scanning feature of the printer. All the user does is scan their page, creates a PDF and sends off the fax direct from the printer. The users love it and although we get plenty of messages about maintenance an updates, we have never had any problems using GoFax.

Quick, easy and worth doing
Joe was super helpful and his instructions were easy to understand and follow. He had the info at his fingertips and could recall my previous conversations with Natalie so that you didn't have to go through it all again.
