What is fax to email?
Fax to email is a service that sends the faxes you receive straight to your email inbox. When someone faxes your GoFax number, GoFax turns the fax into a PDF or TIFF file and emails it to the addresses you choose. You can open it on any computer, tablet or phone.

Connect your mail server, such as Microsoft Exchange, to GoFax with a dedicated TLS connection, so every fax email is encrypted on the way in.

Fax to email and email to fax in one account
Most businesses that receive faxes also need to send them. With GoFax email to fax, you send a fax by emailing your document to the fax number.
Choose a Bundle plan to send and receive, or add send credits to a Receive plan.
Keep every received fax secure
Faxes emailed to you are protected with TLS encryption. TLS is a standard that scrambles an email while it travels between mail servers. It is on by default for every GoFax account, and works when your own mail server also supports it.
To make sure TLS is always used, your IT team can set up a dedicated TLS connection to GoFax.
For extra protection, you can add S/MIME certificate encryption. This locks each email so only your mailbox can open it.

GoFax was easy to set-up and use. I needed to fax tax documents to the US from NZ. GoFax did the trick. It took me less than 40 minutes from researching online fax software to getting my fax sent confirmations. 100 pages for A$15, highly recommended and great value, only problem now is what to do with remaining 96 pages!

Administation is easy - was able to create an email group, populate it, and then advertise that as the desitination for incoming faxes. The sender didn't know the difference! Furthermore, I was able to integrate into the scanning feature of the printer. All the user does is scan their page, creates a PDF and sends off the fax direct from the printer. The users love it and although we get plenty of messages about maintenance an updates, we have never had any problems using GoFax.

Quick, easy and worth doing
Joe was super helpful and his instructions were easy to understand and follow. He had the info at his fingertips and could recall my previous conversations with Natalie so that you didn't have to go through it all again. Fax to email questions
Yes, in most cases. You can move (port) your current fax number to GoFax on Receive and Bundle plans. Most simple ports take 1 to 3 weeks. Complex ports can take up to 120 days. Check with your current provider that your number can be moved first.
Yes. Add several email addresses to one fax number and each fax goes to all of them. There is no limit to how many addresses you can add.
Faxes arrive as a PDF or TIFF attachment, and you can choose the file type for each fax number. PDF opens on almost any device.
No. Fax to email works over the internet. All you need is an email address and a GoFax fax number.
Every fax number is on a Receive plan or a Bundle plan, with a set number of incoming pages each month. There is no limit to how many pages you can receive. Pages over your monthly amount are charged at a per page rate. See our pricing.
To check your usage:
Review your invoices.
Check your fax receive report.
GoFax keeps the pages of each received fax in your secure account for 90 days. You can view, download or resend them from Dashboard, then Receive Fax Service, then View Received Faxes.
Auto Delete (also called Delete Data) removes the pages of each fax as soon as GoFax has tried to deliver it. You turn it on for each fax number.
Log in to your GoFax account.
Go to Dashboard, then Receive Fax Service, then Manage Fax Numbers.
Select the fax number.
Tick "I acknowledge that received fax content will be deleted by enabling this setting".
Click Save Changes.
Please note: deleted faxes cannot be recovered. If your email or other receive system is down when a fax arrives, GoFax will not be able to resend it.
